Located just in front of Keikyu Shioiri Station, Kasho Shiotsuki is a specialty shop dedicated to fresh warabi mochi, a traditional Japanese sweet known for its smooth, melt-in-your-mouth texture.The shop opened in September 2025.

Using only premium hon-warabiko (authentic bracken starch) sourced from Kyoto, the owner perfected his recipe after countless trials to achieve the ideal balance of softness and delicate elasticity.The result is a truly exceptional confection, crafted with care and tradition.

The most popular item is the Warabi Mochi Latte—a modern twist on the classic treat.
Enjoy its subtle sweetness and silky texture as you sip it through a straw, letting the gentle aroma of Japanese flavors fill your senses.
Of course, the traditional version, dusted with roasted soybean powder (kinako), remains a timeless favorite.

Both styles are naturally sweet, easy to enjoy, and gentle enough for everyone — from small children to seniors.

The owner fulfilled a dream he once shared with his late wife: to create a warm and welcoming Japanese-style café where everyone can relax and enjoy authentic wagashi (traditional Japanese sweets).

While the shop is mainly for takeout, there are two seats inside and three outdoor seats available.

  The subtle sweetness of traditional Japanese flavors blends perfectly with creamy milk—it’s like drinking a Japanese dessert.

  After countless trials to perfect the ideal balance of softness and gentle elasticity, we finally arrived at a recipe we are truly proud of.
  
  Instead of regular sugar, we use wasanbon, a traditional Japanese fine-grain sugar known for its refined, mellow sweetness.
  
  The moment you take a bite, its soft, natural sweetness spreads gently across your palate.
  Each piece is generously coated with our special roasted kinako, crafted with care from the roasting stage to bring out a deep, nutty fragrance.
  Our warabi mochi is available in two sizes—regular and small.
  We also offer a popular variation made with brown sugar (kokuto) kneaded into the mochi.
